Cristina & Ricardo [San Luis Obispo Wedding Photography]

Cristina and Ricardo had their wedding ceremony at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Santa Maria with the reception at the Groom's family property in Nipomo. This was my first Spanish Catholic wedding. The really interesting part of the reception was the garter/bouquet toss. After the garter was removed, all the men at the wedding joined hands and ran around in a circle. Then they grabbed the groom and tossed him in the air before putting him down so he could toss the garter. The women also ran in a circle. Then the bride stood on a chair with her mother and mother-in-law held hands around her while she threw the bouquet. It was all very exciting!
