Candice and Adam found me at the Spring 2010 Monterey Bridal Fair. Thanks again Central Coast Bride :) There wedding was at the Pajaro Dunes in Watsonville and luckily the wind was more chill than the last time I shot there. They had a great cast of wedding vendors. Sarah of Sarah Ward Events kept everything organized as the wedding coordinator, Connie Moore provided her beautiful floral designs, DJ Evan from DNA kept us entertained and Pacific Coast Catering provided us with an amazing meal.

Kathy & Matt [Santa Cruz Wedding Photography]

I also met Kathy and Matt at the Santa Cruz Bridal Fair and they booked me on that day. They are such a sweet couple. Kathy is an adorable soft spoken girl and Matt is fun and a little loud (according to the best man toast)...they totally balance each other. Their wedding was set up to be at the Pajaro Dunes beach but the gale force winds changed their plans. Instead they set up the ceremony on the deck of the reception hall. It was still a very beautiful setting. The large fluffy clouds and blue sky were a perfect background. After we found a somewhat sheltered area behind the building for portraits. Then we ventured down to the beach to see just how windy it was...VERY! Kathy's veil actually got pulled out and blown down the beach. I know they were initially disappointed that they didn't get to have the wedding on the beach but very happy with the final outcome...especially the amazing sunset.

Bianca & James [Santa Cruz Wedding Photography]

I was so happy to have the opportunity to photograph Bianca and James on their wedding day. We met at the 2009 Fall Central Coast Bride Fair and I knew right away they would hire me...we just clicked. On their second lap around the show they asked for a contract and wanted to reserve their date right then. They had a beautiful garden wedding at Peachwood's in Santa Cruz. David Smith, owner and chef at Peachwood's, created a wonderful spread for dinner. The florist was Laura at Sweeley Designs, she did an amazing job. Brian Burns with All Occasions was DJ for a great group of dancers.

This is the wedding when I started my new trend. Immediately after the ceremony I whisked the couple around a corner and gave them 5 minutes to be alone. Josh and I took candid photos from a reasonable distance. On most wedding days this is the only time the bride and groom get to spend alone until the reception is over.

Jessica & Tarek [Santa Cruz Wedding Photography]

Another rainy Santa Cruz day forced Jessica and Tarek's wedding indoors at the Peachwood's Steakhouse. Alex and I made the best of the situation by coming up with some creative options. We working in the piano room and just outside the front door for portraits. Their wedding was over Easter weekend so they had these awesome Easter eggs centerpieces and Easter inspired colors.
